 Counties??

Ok so we all had a discussion on what part of England to have the game set in a we came to that we'll be able to fit the whole of England in, just not on a 1x1 scale lol. So I was thinking, since England is split into counties, perhaps we can have each county in a cell? excerpt Scotland and Wales we'll have them as one not split down into counties.

  1. Cells have size cca 58x58 meters
    I believe that what you have refered is a Worldspace
    We don't have to worry about size of worldspace if it has a size rougly like cyrodil and do not contain a lot of NPC's, clutter and other objects in general in one place
    Cities are set in separate worldspaces (each part of Imperial city is set in it's own worldspaces. that is why are city wals so high)


concerning size of the map it is always relative to size of cyrodil.
Cyrodil has a size of 14 quads(you can count it for yourself)

for all I know there was some issues concerning huge landmass size due to CS limitations AME total conversion mod got frozen few years ago (Okt 23, 2006) becouse of this problems (I am not sure if it got fixed in newer CS) They reported evercrashing CS if they loaded more than 16 quads with LOD and more than 20 quads without LOD

but on the other hand MERP total conversion mod has map size of 92 quads fit in 11x11 quads sqare

I'll contact them to seek advice concerning this problem

Ok kool:) I knew it wasn't Cells lol just couldn't think of the name. I thought if each County is its own Worldspace it might reduce lag. But if you contact MERP lets see how there doing it, so see whats the best way for us to fit all of England in.

I am 100% sure that it wont reduce lag and it would be only contraproductive since to get into another worldspace you must enter the door/portal (and then loading screen apear for a few seconds)
